The Fisherman's Trail passes right by our front door. No detour needed, just walk in.

Monte Meu is a working coastal farm on the Rota Vicentina Fisherman's Trail, about 200 metres from the Atlantic and the Carraca beach cove. Drop your pack, have a hot walk-in rain shower, relax in a hammock or the breakfast barn.  Take in the sweeping views across the fields to the light house and the ocean beyond. It’s a day to eat well and sleep deeply before setting off again. 

During walkers season, (March - May and Sept - Nov) the farm offers 4 suites and 4 shared casas. There is a fully stocked communal fridge, available on the honesty system, and breakfast is ready to eat here or take along when you set off. Check yourself in and out on your own time. We're still right here if you need anything.

Monte Meu sits between Almograve and Zambujeira do Mar on one of the most beautiful and wild sections of the Fisherman’s Trail. We are right on the trail and a ten minute walk into the village of Cavaleiro, with restaurants, cafes and mini-marcados.
